Signature talk
The Human Advantage
Trust, judgment, and performance in the AI age.
The talk opens here
You approved something this week you did not fully understand.
Not because you were careless, and not because the tool was wrong. Under real speed — the deck that arrived finished, the analysis nobody had time to check, the message that read well enough to send — review quietly turns into approval. The work got better and the understanding got thinner.
That is where this talk starts, because that is the problem every leader in the room has already lived and never had explained to them.
Overview
What this talk does
AI is making drafts, summaries, comparisons, and simulations abundant. That does not eliminate human responsibility; it raises the value of the capabilities that make machine output useful in consequential work. Attention catches context. Trust is earned through evidence and transparency. Ethical influence makes trade-offs visible and preserves choice. Room leadership turns information into an accountable decision. In The Human Advantage, Adrian Provost gives leaders one practical Human Decision Loop: Notice, Verify, Choose, Lead. Attendees apply it to a real AI-assisted decision, draw a clear boundary between machine contribution and human accountability, and leave with a 90-second Human Check that can be added to an existing meeting or decision memo. The keynote is neither anti-AI nor a forecast disguised as certainty. It is a plain-spoken operating case for using AI to extend judgment rather than replace it.
Core message
In the AI age, the capabilities that compound are attention, trust, ethical influence, and room leadership. AI extends judgment; it does not replace accountable human judgment.
One method
The Human Decision Loop—Notice, Verify, Choose, Lead.
One action
Before the next meaningful AI-assisted decision, run the 90-second Human Check and name the human owner.
Primary audiences
Technology, AI, leadership, executive, founder, future-of-work, and industry conference audiences.
Outcomes
What the audience leaves with
- See the shift: Distinguish the outputs AI makes abundant from the human capabilities that become more consequential.
- Build the advantage: Apply attention, trust, ethical influence, and room leadership through the Human Decision Loop.
- Lead the transition: Install a 90-second checkpoint that names verification, trade-offs, accountability, and the next human action.
Delivery arc
Abundance → responsibility gap → four capabilities → decision loop → rehearsal → boundary → baseline → action.
Audience fit
Executive and leadership conferences, technology and AI events, founder summits, future-of-work programs, board and strategy offsites, innovation forums, professional associations, and organizations navigating AI adoption without losing trust or human agency.

What the room needs
- A clear stage sized for safe movement, with an accessible route, a handrail on the stairs, and a side table. No podium required.
- One centered screen or two matched side screens, readable from the back row, with a tested 16:9 slide feed and a confidence monitor.
- A wireless headset or lavalier microphone, a handheld backup on stage, a dedicated audio engineer, and roving microphones for Q&A.
- Even, neutral front lighting across the movement area, with separate house-light levels for the scenario work and for Q&A.
- A centre aisle and at least one side aisle kept clear for microphone runners and accessibility.
- Attendee Wi-Fi or tested cellular coverage so the room can complete the Index, with printed copies available as a fallback.
